The information produced below is additional to that contained within the
publication A History of Education in Chardstock and All Saints 1712
to 2009.
It contains the following items:
Chardstock,
St. Andrew’s School Register 1867 to 1919.
Although an internal school document not completed to the standard of other
official documents, this register lists about 1200 pupils who attended
the school. It provides valuable information not readily available elsewhere,
such as dates of birth, the name by which the child was generally known,
the standard of education attained and where pupils went after leaving
school.
